Overall 20+ years of experience in Orthopedics, Spine and Sports Medicine.
Having the good fortune of training under excellent orthopedists, I spent a total of 16 years at Beth Israel Medical Center in NYC, where I was Chief Orthopedic PA for several years, and per diem Physician Assistant at the Spine Institute of NY for 10 years. 14 years ago, I joined a private orthopedic practice in Huntington, while maintaining a regular per diem schedule at BIMC. I now have the distinct honor of working with Dr. Scarpinato and Dr. Putterman.
Recognizing that everyone is different, each patient is treated according to the individual that he/she is. After listening and examining closely and carefully, as well as reviewing appropriate diagnostic testing, a unique treatment plan is developed with the patient’s input. Patient education is a huge part of my patient care philosophy. I assist patients in choosing the options that will be in their best interest and avoid any unnecessary procedures. I have a strong desire for excellence and believe “it’s all about the patient.”
